The Oakeshott Collection Exhibit at the Guild of Metalsmiths meeting April 2005

Click on pictures to enlarge.	There was a fantastic turn out for this event with approximately 130 people attending the meeting and lecture.
The attendees listened to discussions of some aspects of medieval swords and the details of the pieces on display. There was a great representation of all age ranges and many of the younger people had there first chance to see medieval artifacts.
	The Oakeshott Collection items were the most popular part of the display and the staff was busy all night answering questions and demonstrating the unique aspects of the pieces. It was great event for the Guild and the Oakeshott Institute.
