Sword Type XI

Typifiying this style is a slender parallel sided blade that often has a narrow fuller, usually the full length of the blade. The point is quite acute. The blades are often long in proportion to the hilt and most have inscriptions in the blade. The type seems most prevalent in the mid 12th century, but it would be difficult to narrow its use between 1050 and 1350.
